The Course is aimed at giving a comprehensive overview of working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum for teachers, SNA’s SLT’s OT’s & Parents - It is split into 6 sessions to cover the topics as follows … • Introduction & Overview of Autism Spectrum Disorders; Learning Styles and Neurological impacts • Communication Issues associated with ASD • Social and Emotional Issues related to ASD • Sensory Issues and their impact on individuals with an ASD • Anxiety & Self-Esteem issues related to individuals with an ASD • Behavioural Impacts within ASD + Review of the sessions To receive certification – all sessions need to be attended and all 6 assignments completed.
